Yohji san, you inspire us. you continue inspiring us - my mom and me.
First time my mom took me to Yohji’s Aoyama I was a teenager. “You should just wear this kind of fashion as like today, unlike other times when you have to come to my school for PTA shit.” lol. That’s what I said to her, my mom recalls. I don’t really remember.
Ever since Ogata san at Aoyama gives me a big hug whenever I go back to Tokyo home aka. Aoyama. Ever since Ichikawa san has to have dinner with me! For this season too, as usual, Ichikawa san told us, according to my mom, “I have something that I want therabbitto to try on. She must try on. I will keep it for her until she comes back for the holiday.”
Yohji san. Remember you inspire us. our world.
As like everyone else - Yohji fans out there in the world, our closet is filled with yohji, y-3, +noir, Y’s, and even Limi fu.
I still wear my very first Yohji shoes. Yes, my first item from Yohji was shoes. Here is the reason. I always accompanied my mom when she were about to go to Yohji’s. Ogata san and Ichikawa san always make fun of me I used to come to Yohji in high school uniform - the typical japanese high school girl with mini skirt and sailor colored top. At that time I didn’t like trying on most of Yohji while my mom was crazy in a fitting room, because nothing looked  good on me at all. It was like that quite long time. I don’t remember since when, but I am soooo fu**ing good on Yohji RIGHT NOW.
I am now the lady that Yohji portrays through his design. I can be myself, make my look being the lady that I feel so comfortable and confident with his creation of dresses, pants, jackets, hats, gloves, bags, shirts, t-shirts…shoes, boots and everything. Being in Yohji empowers me, who I am. Thank you, Yohji san. And foremost, thank you mama for being so avant-garde. Love you. Miss you.
