Was looking for reference in regards to emergent groups that were borne out of Haiti earthquakes.
And back then, social media and microblogging - twitter and facebook - played and impacted on information relay and exchange across the globe.
One of the issues, sensitive for most but least, and nothing for ones in corporate, glamorous worlds - wealthy, developed, North, and whatsoever - was the creation of hashtags that correspond specifically among concerned twitters. Choice of words indicate sense of the creator whose sensitivity and intelligence shines in gold or blurred.
A tweet today I found, says “#firstworldproblems” for her photography or a piece of her day to show off or illuminate.
I just cannot help it to ignore her tweet of this. What kinds of intelligence or sensitivity she earns in her life? I am hoping that she is like 3rd grader, unlike a grown-up adult or professional or even mother. Very shameful and painful to see this use of hashtag. No one around her can “educate” her?! Her world is the one who needs real development.
I am angry.
What aggitates me is that she does not even question herself what she is trying to say by using this world “first world problems”. Lady, please be concerned the world if you want to advocate yourself to the tweet worlds. Man, next to her, please be concerned with whom you are interacting with and be senstive about choces of worlds.
